Can You Sublimate On Rayon? | 8 Step Easy Guideline

Do you know when discovered rayon? French chemist Georges Audemars discovered rayon. The first successful commercial manufacturing of rayon fiber in France was in 1884 by Count Hilaire de Chardonnet, known as the “father of rayon.” Today, over fifty percent of all textiles made in the world are made out of synthetic fibers. These products include rayon, nylon, polyester, and polypropylene. Most of our clothing and household items are made of these fibers.
It’s possible to make money doing the Sublimate on rayon. If you are interested in sublimating on rayon, you should be ready to take a little time to sublimate it. Suppose you think can you sublimate on rayon. Of Course, you can do it because rayon is a semi-synthetic fiber emanating from wood pulp. It is an incredibly soft, lightweight, strong, and comfortable fabric that is perfect for creating various types of clothing. In addition, rayon is considered a very versatile fabric used in a broad range of products. If you are looking for an affordable and durable material, you should try using it.

In this post, We’ve given explicit guidance on how to sublimate on rayon. Let’s move down to read the guidelines.
Can You Sublimate on Rayon? Step-by-Step Guide
Yes! You can sublimate on rayon. There are two ways to sublimate on rayon. The first method is rayon-blend polyester substrates when 30% rayon and 70% polyester are combined. The second method is to cover or overlay rayon substrates with polyester material. Since substrates made entirely with rayon were insufficient for our purposes, we will try the second method for sublimate on rayon.

Process Of Rayon Sublimation
The first thing is essential to understand how to Sublimation on rayon. You have to be solicitous in this process. You must ensure that you follow all of the instructions carefully. If you fail to do this, you might damage your rayon material.
Step 1. Preparation of Desizer Solution
First, you need to make a desizer solution in the jar. Mix 7 ounces of water for every 1 ounce of designer concentrate. After combining the components, transfer the mixture into a spray bottle, and before spraying, shake it well.
Step 2. Spray The Solution On Rayon Material
The next step is that The desizer solution should then be applied evenly throughout the cloth with the help of a spray bottle. Don’t try to hurry; you should check that the fabric is entirely wet.
Step 3. Heat Press On the Rayon Fabric
Now, it’s time to heat-press the rayon material. Wrap it in a thin, dry towel before applying the press. It would be much good if you could get cotton cloth because cotton is superior at absorbing moisture. Subsequently, Set the heat press at 385F and lightly press the fabric for around 35 seconds. Stop pushing when you notice smoke emerging, and apply the polyester coating.
Step 4. Create Borders And Spray On the Polyester Coating
Now, time to add the polyester coating to the image. Before proceeding, Confirm that the polyester coat coating area is included inside the desizer area. You can use straight objects or Cardboard to ensure accuracy by creating borders. Following that, remove the Cardboard and persist in coating the complete printing area.
Step 5. After spraying, Wait for the Dry fabric
Once the polyester coating has been sprayed on, bend the fabric and push it with your hands to cause the coating to freeze. Should then spread out the material to dry. But If you desire it to finish more quickly, you can also use a heat press.
Step 6. Apply Heat Press On Butcher Paper
Under this specific procedure, you must cover them with butcher paper to avoid damage. After that, Apply heat press on it for about 10 seconds at 385F. Apply a second light poly coat and heat press once more to dry.
Step 7. Prepare the printed transfer and use a heat press to apply
The next stage is that, After the second coat has dried, you must be covered it with butcher paper and heated for an additional 10 seconds. Please print out your printed transfer, then paste it on the rayon fabric. For optimal performance, place a silicone pad behind the grill. Afterward, thoroughly cover the printed transfer with butcher paper and heat press it at 385F for approximately 75 seconds to sublimate it.
Step 8. Take the Butcher Paper off
The final move is that, After heat pressing is complete, you must remove the butcher paper. To prevent the image from being damaged, transfer carefully from one image border. You will efficiently finish Sublimation on rayon from this technique.
